Thousands of young Americans travel abroad during spring break. Some will be traveling with new friends and acquaintances. Do your due diligence on these new individuals before committing to any travel plans.

Do they have a history of risky behavior?
Do a quick search for mugshots and court records. 

Are you going on a road trip?
Check their driving records for daredevil violations.

Are they luring you into a false or misleading relationship?
Check for online dating profiles and secret social media accounts. Don't strand yourself with a needy deviant!

If you are traveling abroad, check for the latest safety alerts at travel.state.gov. By taking the proper precautions, you can give yourself and your family the peace of mind they deserve while you go out and enjoy yourself.
